# Picnic checklist

Everything for a day on the grass, from the cool box to the bin bags. Tick things off as you pack, add your own, and your list is still here next time.

## Using the checklist

Tick each item as it goes into the bag. Your ticks, any items you add and any you remove are saved in this browser, so you can start packing the night before and finish in the morning. **Hide packed items** leaves only what is still missing, and **Copy what is left** gives you a plain list to send to whoever is doing the shopping. Print it for a paper copy with empty boxes to tick by hand.

## Keeping the cool box cold

Food that should be refrigerated needs to stay cold on the way and on the blanket. The USDA advises keeping cold food at or below 40 °F (4 °C), for example in containers on ice, and not leaving it out for more than 2 hours, or 1 hour when it is above 90 °F (32 °C). Pack the cool box straight from the fridge, keep it in the shade, and open it as little as you can.

## Questions

**Is my list private?**

Yes. It is stored only in your browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is sent to us, and clearing the site's data removes it.

**Can I get back an item I removed?**

Yes. Restore removed items brings back the built-in ones. Items you added yourself are gone once removed.

**What should I pack for a picnic with children?**

Add their favourite snacks, spare clothes, wipes and a ball or two. The Games & extras section is a good place for your own items.
