What it is
Kindred Picnic has five free tools: a party food calculator, a drinks calculator, a printable potluck sign-up sheet, a BBQ quantity calculator and an interactive picnic checklist. They are for anyone hosting a barbecue, a birthday buffet, an office potluck or a lazy afternoon in the park.
Open assumptions
Every quantity starts from a rule of thumb, such as how much main dish an adult eats or how many drinks a guest has in the first hour. These are common planning estimates, not official standards, and each page shows them next to the results so you can change them. Food-safety figures, such as how long food can sit out and the safe temperatures for grilled meat, come from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and FoodSafety.gov, and each page links to its source.
How it works
Every tool runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server, there are no accounts, and the pages keep working offline once loaded. Your guest numbers, edited assumptions, sign-up sheet and checklist are saved in your browser's local storage so they are there next time.
